Delete branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Publishing a Forgejo release is the operator's production approval. Production must receive the retained image that already passed validation on development.
Scope
Create the release-publication workflow, prepared release notes, artifact eligibility checks, and production deployment verification. No second routine deployment approval is required.
Acceptance criteria
mainand has the matching retained image. Missing images, missing validation, and mismatched version/commit/digest mappings block promotion.Validation
Exercise draft creation, tag-only push, valid publication, missing image, mismatched digest, new vulnerability, expired exception, and wrong running identity. Confirm promotion preserves the original image digest and embedded version.
Exercise a release that requires an additive migration and a migration that fails. Verify application compatibility and that failure prevents dependent service rollout.
